Manufacturing industry
The African economy is increasingly moving towards the manufacturing industry. Agriculture and industry remain very dominant, but the manufacturing industry is claiming its place. More urbanization, better availability of electricity, improved infrastructure and a growing middle class are contributing to this trend.
The manufacturing industry is doing particularly well in Rwanda and Mozambique. It is also a wide sector, ranging from the production of shoes and designer clothing to furniture and utensils. The fact that the sector has just outgrown its infancy, provides additional opportunities to support and guide entrepreneurs from the start.
