Transport & Logistiek
The immense continent of Africa is bulging with potential: power generation, agricultural production, raw materials and minerals, manufactured goods … but all this must be stored and transported to customers and users. The transport and logistics sector thus plays a vital role in the growth of Africa’s economy. High-voltage power lines and distribution, drivable roads and railways, warehouses and ports, distribution within urban agglomerations, the need for them is great.
In Morocco, South Africa and Rwanda, we can certainly already speak of a European-level road network. Ghana, in turn, has a state-of-the-art container port. In other countries like Mozambique and Tanzania, plans are awaiting funding. For transport of both people and goods by road, private enterprise is taking the lead.
